Rehabilitation Empowerment and Better Health Initiative (REBHI) is a National Non-governmental organization that aims to respond to the need of vulnerable communities through supporting self-reliant empowerment activities particularly for women and youth and other vulnerable members of the society.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with community members, leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure active participation and support for programs.
- Program Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the delivery of project activities, such as training sessions, awareness campaigns, and events, ensuring they are culturally appropriate and align with the project\'s goals.
- Mobilization and Outreach: Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote the REBHI\'s mission and activities, actively engaging diverse community groups, including youth, women, and marginalized populations.
- Feedback and Accountability: Serve as a point of contact for community feedback, concerns, and complaints, ensuring that a two-way communication channel exists between the community and program management to inform decision-making and improve program quality.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Conduct community assessments, track the progress and impact of engagement activities, document success stories, and prepare regular reports for management and donors.
- Capacity Building and Mentorship: Facilitate training and provide ongoing support/mentorship to community volunteers, local partners, and community-based structures to enhance local capacity and ownership of initiatives.
- Advocacy and Representation: Represent the organization at community-level forums and meetings, advocating for community needs and the program\'s mission to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor\'s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Communications, Public Health, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community development, mobilization, or a related field, preferably within a non-profit or humanitarian context.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences. Knowledge of local languages is often a strong asset or requirement.
- Cultural Competence: A strong understanding of the local context, cultural nuances, and the ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse communities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with data collection or donor management tools are often required.
- Personal Attributes: High levels of integrity, empathy, and a commitment to the REBHI\'s mission and values (e.g., child protection, gender equality, accountability).
