The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria was established through an agreement dated 21st August 1998 signed between the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria and Adamawa State Government to take over the then Yola Specialist Hospital, Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Clinical Services commenced on 15th May 1999. However, the then Civilian Government in the State decided to repossess the Specialist Hospital so that it could have a secondary healthcare facility in the state capital. Thus, it was decided that the Centre should be relocated to the present site in the premises of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Yola, along Lamido Zubairu Way, Yola-Town.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an MBBS or equivalent, Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College or its equivalent.
- Registration / current practicing license from MDCN, NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
