Role Overview
- We’re looking for a Head of Content (Podcasts & Shows) — a creative visionary and strategic leader who can oversee the development, production, and performance of Glitch Africa’s talk shows and podcast network.
- This role requires someone who can blend creativity with structure , a storyteller with strong production instincts, audience understanding, and the ability to manage multiple teams and shows.
- You’ll oversee Glitch’s slate of talk formats like The Honest Bunch, The Goodside of Love, 3truths , Rants, Bants and confessions and Unfiltered Journey, while also developing fresh, bold content that reflects Africa’s pulse.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the content strategy, direction, and execution for all Glitch podcasts and talk shows.
- Work closely with the CEO to shape creative vision, tone, and narrative direction.
- Supervise Senior Producers and Show Producers to ensure smooth production flow.
- Develop and greenlight new show formats, series concepts, and brand integrations.
- Oversee all phases of production — pre-production, filming, and post.
- Maintain Glitch’s storytelling standard, ensuring every show is impactful, relatable, and visually world-class.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Marketing teams on branded content and campaigns.
- Use analytics and feedback to refine show strategies and improve audience engagement.
- Train and mentor the production team for consistent quality and creative growth.
- Drive innovation in format, design, and storytelling across Glitch’s studio network.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in content leadership, ideally within digital media, television, or entertainment production.
- Proven track record in developing and managing multiple shows or podcasts.
- Deep understanding of African pop culture, digital storytelling, and YouTube dynamics.
- Strong creative and strategic instincts with exceptional taste for talent and storytelling.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience supervising production and post workflows.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple deadlines.
- Must be available to work on-site full-time at the Lagos studio.
