The company is structurally centered in the hospitality business to provide restaurant, hotel, lounge, clubs catering service among others. Job Summary
- The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all technology infrastructure across the organization, including the Head Office and all restaurant outlets.
- The role ensures smooth operation of Point of Sale (POS) systems, internet connectivity, network infrastructure, digital platforms, and IT equipment required for efficient business operations.
- The IT Manager will also support operational efficiency by implementing reliable technology systems, minimizing downtime, ensuring proper IT asset management, and providing technical support to all business locations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across Head Office and all restaurant outlets.
- Ensure stable internet connectivity and network performance across all locations.
- Supervise installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment including:
- POS systems
- Desktop computers and laptops
- Receipt printers and office printers
- Routers, switches, and networking devices
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues promptly to avoid disruption to operations.
POS & Restaurant Technology Management:
- Ensure all Point of Sale (POS) systems in outlets are functional and updated.
- Troubleshoot POS errors affecting order processing, billing, and reporting.
- Coordinate POS updates, menu uploads, and pricing changes.
- Work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure POS data accuracy and reporting reliability.
Multi-Outlet IT Support:
- Provide IT support across all restaurant outlets and Head Office.
- Respond promptly to technical issues affecting daily operations.
- Develop and manage a system for outlets to report IT issues.
- Schedule periodic technical checks for all outlets to prevent system failures.
Network & System Security:
- Ensure all company systems and networks are secure and protected from unauthorized access.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices.
- Manage user access permissions for systems and software.
- Ensure proper data backup procedures and recovery plans are in place.
Digital Platform & Online Order Integration:
- Support the integration and functionality of digital platforms including:
- Online ordering systems
- Delivery platforms
- Website or digital sales channels
- Ensure seamless synchronization between online platforms and POS systems.
CCTV & Security Systems Support:
- Ensure CCTV systems across Head Office and outlets are properly installed and functioning.
- Handle technical maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV equipment.
- Maintain proper system storage capacity for CCTV recordings.
- Provide technical support to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) when footage is required for investigation or review.
IT Asset Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register for all technology equipment across the organization.
- Track the allocation and movement of IT equipment across outlets.
- Ensure proper documentation for all issued devices including:
- POS terminals
- Laptops and desktops
- Tablets
- Routers and networking devices
- Conduct periodic verification of IT assets to prevent loss or misuse.
IT Audit & Compliance:
Conduct periodic IT audits across outlets to ensure systems are functioning properly.
- Verify that all outlets are using approved software and systems.
- Identify technology risks or system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and operational procedures.
New Outlet IT Setup:
- Lead the technology setup for new restaurant outlets including:
- POS installation
- Internet and network configuration
- System integration
- Hardware setup
- Ensure all IT systems are operational before the outlet begins operations.
IT Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Recommend and procure appropriate IT equipment and software.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate new technology solutions that can improve operational efficiency.
Staff Support & Training:
- Provide technical support to staff across all departments.
- Train outlet staff on proper usage of POS systems and basic IT tools.
- Develop simple user guides where necessary.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare periodic IT reports for Management covering:
- IT system performance
- System failures or incidents
- Asset status
- Technology upgrade recommendations
- Maintain proper documentation of all IT systems and configurations.
