Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and overseeing the firm's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensuring network security through the implementation of security protocols and regular monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
- Procuring, installing, and maintaining computer hardware and software for employees.
- Ensuring that all IT equipment is up-to-date, functional, and properly maintained.
- Implementing and enforcing data security policies, including regular data backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitoring potential security breaches and taking immediate action to mitigate risks.
- Providing technical support to employees, addressing IT-related issues and troubleshooting problems.
- Offering training and guidance to employees on using various software applications and hardware.
- Overseeing the installation and updates of financial software applications relevant to the firm's operations.
- Ensuring software licenses are up to date and compliant with legal requirements.
- Ensuring that the firm's IT systems and practices comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as data protection and financial industry guidelines.
- Developing and managing the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions.
- Working with IT vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the delivery of agreed-upon services.
- Maintaining detailed records of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications
- Proven experience in IT roles, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial software and applications used in financial advisory services.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with non-technical staff.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to financial services.
- Project management skills for handling IT projects and initiatives.
