The Center For Community Awareness And Youth Empowerment Initiative (CAYEI) is a youth-led organization that focuses on women's and youth empowerment, humanitarian aid, environmental stewardship, and community development. It works to increase access to resources for underserved communities and addresses issues like hunger, malnutrition, poverty, unemployment, and environmental challenges. The organization has been involved in activities like monitoring public projects to ensure transparency and engaging in community dialogues on issues such as drug abuse prevention.
Role Purpose
- The Media & Communication Intern supports the organisation’s communication and visibility efforts through content creation, documentation, photography, digital media support, and maintaining communication archives. The role helps strengthen CAYEI’s visibility, storytelling, and compliance with donor branding requirements.
Key Areas of Accountability
Content Creation & Digital Media
- Assist in drafting social media posts, field updates, and communication materials.
- Capture photographs and videos of project activities and events.
- Support basic editing of images, videos, and written content.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document field success stories, testimonies, and lessons learned.
- Maintain organised digital and physical archives of photos, videos, and media files.
Visibility & Branding
- Support the implementation of donor visibility requirements.
- Ensure proper use of logos, branding, and signage during field activities.
Media Support
- Assist in preparing media materials such as press notes and event coverage.
- Help update CAYEI’s website and social media platforms.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of Basic experience with writing, photography, or digital content creation.
- Familiarity with graphic design or video editing is an added advantage.
