Job Summary 

The ELV Support Technician provides first-line technical support and troubleshooting for electronic low-voltage (ELV) systems, including CCTV, NVRs, access control, and gate automation. 

Responsibilities include performing basic diagnostics, executing routine preventive maintenance, responding to service tickets, and supporting users with operational queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for CCTV systems, NVRs, access control systems, gate automations, and other ELV equipment. 
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new devices under the guidance of senior technicians, including cameras, sensors, and controllers. 
  • Perform basic diagnostic checks to identify faulty components, such as sensors, motors, and cameras. 
  • Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning cameras, testing sensors, and checking power connections. 
  • Respond to service tickets to resolve basic system malfunctions and restore functionality. 
  • Assist users with basic operational queries and guide them through simple fixes over the phone or on-site. 
  • Help maintain accurate service records and update job tickets with work performed and parts used. 
  • Support senior technicians with site surveys, cable installation, and device mounting. 
  • Learn and adhere to standard safety procedures while working with low-voltage systems and tools. 
  • Manage and maintain a well-organized toolkit and basic inventory of common spare parts.

Educational Qualification: 

  • B.Tech/HND in Information systems, Computer Engineering/Sci, Electronics Engineering and other related Field of Study.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Technical experience on control systems. 
  • Experience of working effectively with skilled operatives or contractors 
  • Knowledge of motors, pumps and air extract systems 
  • Experience of safely working on variety of installations, appliances and equipment.

Desirable Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess technical problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaboration with team members and providing user support effectively.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, on-site environment 
  • Proficiency with relevant systems, tools, and technology.
