Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-­â€Âprofit affiliate organization of Family Health International (FHI 360), registered in Nigeria in 2009. It aims to provide technical assistance to the government and people of Nigeria in the implementation of public health and development programs. Building on the successful work of its parent organization, its role with SCHARP+ and Global Fund, AHNi is armed with a team of indigenous experts and professionals of international repute to help fulfill its vision and mission of enabling socio-­â€Âeconomic development in Nigeria, as well as improving lives in Nigeria through the mutually dependent strengths of programs in public health and research.

he Nigeria TBHIV Reach Integration & Impact Project (N-THRIP) is designed to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state.

The IT Specialist will provide support and maintenance to the project’s computer and network infrastructure to ensure stable operations. S/he will implement new IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity and will maintain/support implemented systems to ensure high end-user satisfaction. S/He will maintain, monitor and troubleshoot server systems and networks, automated backup and restore operations and mission-critical applications such as email, file/print services and other line of business applications to allow IT respond proactively to emerging problems and perform ongoing IT “housekeeping” functions. Perform installations of operating systems, layered products, and third-party products for multi-user computer systems that host corporate applications, databases and websites. Maintain Local Area Networks, Wireless networks, Firewalls and other essential network services as appropriate. Assist and perform software installations and upgrades as required.    

Recruitments:

  • A Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Health Information Management, or recognized equivalent, with 2 to 3 years post-NYSC experience
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network administration, software management and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Inventory Management.
